In 1987 six market researchers swam the English Channel to raise money for the MRBA. Virginia Barstow organised it, and was joined by Justin, Sarah Baxter, Pete Evans, Martin Topping and Linda Nathan who sadly died last year. Thanks to sponsorship from the industry and support from individuals, they raised just over £15K after expenses.
Thirty years on, former MRBA Committee member Justin, has thrown down the gauntlet to the next generation of researchers: “Why not have a go at swimming the channel as a team, beating our time and beating our fundraising efforts?” See the full story under Fundraise for us here.
